You would be surprised that a few simple tips wll provide you with the tools necessary to accomplish more in less time and of course reduce your stress level at the same time!
In the sixth part of this series, we will take a look at the importance of your To-do list.
I have mentioned in Part 2 and 3 of this series, the importance of planning and writing down a list of task to be done on a day to day basis. So what are the advantages of having a to-do list?
1) It helps remind us of all the tasks to be completed, so that we do not miss out on anything.
2) It takes the strain off trying to commit everything to memory, judging by the way most people remember things, this is definitely a better way of kepping track of things.
3) It makes prioritizing your tasks a breeze, once everything is written down on paper. Prioritizing enables the efficient use of time by completing urgent tasks first.
4) It gives us a sense of satisfaction as we cross out each task as it is completed. Seeing tasks being crossed out one by one as the day progresses certainly gives us the needed momentum to push through.
Although a daily to-do lists are important, we certainly do not want to limit ourselves to that. For more effective task management, consider incorporating a weekly and monthly to-do list. Here's why.
You cannot include in your to-do list, a task that can only be done over a week. In this case it is more relevant to prepare a weekly list. It is important to note that a weekly, or a monthly list is not something that you try to rush to complete at the end of the week or the month. You have to pace yourself to do the task a bit at a time and aim to complete it by the targeted date.
In the coming issues, I will be discussing other critical areas that you can consider to adopt into your life for more productivity and less stress.
